A heartwarming story of a young boy from London coming to terms with his new life in the African bush.
He struggles with his relationship with his father, a ranger on a game farm in Mpumalanga, whom he had never met before. He also has to deal with the dangers that are intricately part of the landscape.
His new friends, the adventurous André and sweet-tempered Simoshile, however help him adapt and heal the scars of his past.
