Peet Ellison spent his formative years growing up in a rambling, creaky vicarage; playing either amongst its secret passages, or in the garden, climbing the gnarled, old trees. This was just the place for a furtive, young mind to plan wonderous adventures.
After three years at Art College, Peet pursued a career in illustration. What probably gave him the most pleasure, however, was creating and writing his stories and poetry. In the 1980’s Peet enjoyed his first success with the adventures of Timbertwig, which was published in Storyteller magazine. Timbertwig would go on to be translated into many languages to entertain children across the World. Peet has continued to enjoy success as an illustrator in both children's and educational books. He lives with his wife, Sandra, on the Wirral Peninsula, close to Liverpool. Peet loves spending time with his two, baby granddaughters, and looks forward to sharing his many stories with them in the future.
